Screen printing is still the cheapest way to put a design on a lot of shirts, and it is still the most durable ink you can put on cotton. What matters just as much is who is responsible for the job from start to finish.
We run screen printing through a print partner we trust and manage every job from here on Staten Island: the artwork, the proof, the quality check and the pickup. You deal with one local shop, and the person who answers the phone is the person responsible for your order.
What screen printing is good for
- Volume. Once the screens exist, every additional shirt is cheap. At a few hundred pieces nothing competes.
- One and two color designs. Simple bold artwork is where screen printing is at its most cost-effective.
- Durability. Cured ink bonds into the fibers. Washed cold and kept out of a hot dryer, it goes for years.
- Feel. A well-printed shirt has a hand that surface transfers do not quite replicate.
When we will tell you not to use it
Under about 24 pieces, the screen setup dominates and you end up paying a lot per shirt for a small run. Full-color or photographic artwork needs a screen per color, which gets expensive fast. In both cases DTF is the better answer and we will say so — we offer both, so there is nothing in it for us either way.

Artwork: send vector if you have it
Screen printing separates your design into one film per color. That separation is cleanest from a vector file — .ai, .eps, or a vector .pdf. A large PNG usually works. A logo lifted off a website at 400 pixels wide will need redrawing first, and we would rather do that than print something soft.
If your design has more colors than your budget likes, tell us the budget. Most logos survive being simplified to two colors, and on a small run that single decision saves more than anything else.
Free local pickup
We are on Staten Island and pickup is free. For a bulk order that is a real saving, and it means you see the shirts before they go out to your team rather than after.
